In October of 2009, our cherished Blondie's Beauty Parlor web address — blondiesbeautyparlor.com — was hijacked by Somali pirates. Despite our best efforts to negotiate its release, and Monica's brave, but ultimately unsuccessful, clandestine raid at the head of a team of US Navy SEALS, in the end we couldn't meet the ransom demands . . . and had to let it go.

It was, after all, fully aware of the risks involved in the cut-throat world of the salon business.

In keeping with Kristen's personal motto — "If you can't beat 'em, distract 'em with flambouyance!" — we intend to extract our revenge by building a bigger, better and, of course, much more flambouyant website. That'll show 'em!

Work is underway, and we hope to be back with a new site at this address by the end of January.
